Old house, new life! Our client asked us to add a two storey extension to their Mt Gravatt East home, as well as reconfigure their existing kitchen and dining space to better suit family living.

The new wing comprises two large, light-filled bedrooms and a generous family bathroom on the upper floor, plus a self-contained unit on the lower floor including a kitchenette, bedroom, bathroom and laundry.

The resulting build has delivered the family an abundance of space and versatility, with spacious bedrooms and bathrooms plus dual living opportunities. In the existing home, a new open plan kitchen and dining area opens up to the deck connecting the two buildings.

The four-month project required significant excavation works, the addition of retaining walls, the construction of the new two-storey wing, and upgrades of the original home.
